The Answer To This Question Could Change Your Life

Let me ask you something…

Are you truly happy, or are you just really comfortable?

Think about your answer to that…

No, I mean it. Really think about it.

If your answer is that yes, you are truly happy, then congratulations. And you’re welcome to read on, but honestly, this post isn’t for you. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing.

However, if you can’t honestly say that you are HAPPY, it’s time for you to make a change.

But what exactly does that mean?

I can’t be the one to answer that for you, as it’s subjective for everyone.

But what I can do is give you some examples of what to strive for — the things that I longed for and desired (and ultimately achieved when I decided to build an insurance agency):

  • Freedom: financial and time.
  • Growth: personal, professional, mental, spiritual, relational.
  • Challenge: ongoing opportunities to develop and get better.

You’ve likely heard it before, but in case you haven’t, allow me to be the one who shares this truth with you — If you’re not growing, you’re dying.

And that, at least for me, is the culprit to the less than satisfactory answer to our life-changing question.

You see, before I made the leap into insurance sales, I was the furthest thing you could be from happy, and I certainly wasn’t even comfortable.

I knew that, for as long as I did the same things that put me in that position in the first place, I was only ever going to get the same thing out of it.

In other words, a change was needed.

“If you want something different, you are going to have to do something different.” — Jack Canfield

I don’t know what it is that you need to change to find the true, genuine happiness you’re after. But what I would encourage is to expand your mind to new possibilities.

Don’t shut out an opportunity because it isn’t packaged with the right colored bow.

I worked in software design and development before insurance sales presented itself to me. And truth be told, I waited on the sidelines for months before deciding to take hold.

I was terrified. I could not afford to fail, and sales was never my gig.

But in less than 3 years… you know that happiness we were talking about? Well, I found it.

You can, too, if you want.

Just answer this first: Are you truly happy, or are you just really comfortable?

Be honest with yourself, and consider doing these things to step outside of your comfort zone and into true happiness:

  1. Write out your goals daily.
  2. Seek new mentors who have what you want.
  3. Get rid of any negativity in your life to make space for the positivity heading your way.

Know this: what you want, wants you. Now, go get it.

You’ve got my support.

Talk soon,
GP
